Helping to bring hope back to the people of Haiti through music...

After much
prayer and consideration, Sam
has decided to take a year off between high school and college and return to
Haiti to start a music program at an orphanage school run by
Child Hope
International. Sam was touched profoundly by the children at Child
Hope when the family traveled to Haiti in February, and began to pray for God's
direction in his life as he pondered the decisions regarding college and life
direction. His heart kept coming back to Haiti. As the May 1
deadline loomed and he had to give an answer to the colleges that had accepted
him, he became confident that this was the right decision.
In June, he received confirmation from Child Hope that they had accepted
him into their internship program. He spent the summer preparing for
his adventure. He collected materials for teaching general music and took lessons from some master teachers on how to train beginning
violin
and cello students.
He left September
6 and immediately went to work. He is teaching music theory, cello, violin and
choir. He is also leading worship regularly at the church in Port au
Prince.
Please keep him in your prayers. Want to send
Sam a message? Feel free to
send him an email. He would love to hear
from you. If you are
